Eight Singaporeans held for bribery

JOHOR BARU: The Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) has detained eight Singa_poreans for trying to bribe police personnel here.

State MACC director Simi Abdul Ghani said the Singaporeans aged between 27 and 66 were detained for offering bribes to the police officers after they were caught for various traffic offences.

They had attempted to offer bribes ranging from RM20 to RM110.

“These offenders were held during a three-day joint operation between the MACC and state police which began on Friday,” he said.

“Anyone convicted for the offence can be jailed a maximum of 20 years and fined not more than five times the bribe amount or RM10,000, whichever is higher,” he added.

All the offenders have since been released on MACC bail.

“Don’t try to bribe government officials or law enforcement officers, as the MACC is always looking into these cases,” Simi said.

Gone were the day of bribery of polis to get away, in part of greater picture of making iskandar project more safe and lawful?

Bah, more like some anti-corruption campaign is coming up and setting a bit of an example. Business as usual once the campaign is over.

>>They had attempted to offer bribes ranging from RM20 to RM110.<<

Aiya those eight monkeys also damn cute la. Sabo themselves by offering such low bribes.

These 8 dumbos have no idea of a SOP for bribing a Melayu cop.
They must observe their body language & tell tale signs (scribling aimlessly on their notebook etc) to see if theyre looking for a bribe or genuinely booking you (highly unlikely)
The Melayu cops will 1st inform you your offence & ask to see your drivers licence. Then you must politely say "Sir, sorry, give me a chance boleh?" Dont act arrogant. Chances these dumbos got a double fine is due to their stupidity. In Msia, the melayu cops are Kings.
After which & more often than not, the cops will let you off in exchange for, ahem, some kopi money. If they ask excessively, ask politely for a discount. Again, speak nicely & never argue or raise your voice. Dont be too hasty or impatient in giving him the kopi money. Make it as conspicious as possible.
Curse him only after the melayu cops are out of your sight.

That 8 monkey are stupid or low IQ and EQ or they think their money is big and police is begger. Never give the bride unless there is signal from police. The phrase eg. from police
1. How can I help you?
2. How you can help me if I help you?
3. How you want to settle?

Many more clue like police talk alots but not yet write summon.

Never never offer bribe without signal rule 101 to remember.

Offer RM20 so low ha ha ha.............no wander police reported the bride.

Aiya they damn stoopid la. Usually i will ask the officer "can i settle my fine here now?" This may sound like a stupid question, but will achieve the aim of finding out whether the officer can be bribed.

Yes, like I always said, Malaysian police force are more efficient then Singapore. Own time own target. On the spot fine, and its negotiable.

Agree, the 8 fools probably acted arrogantly in offering a bribe.
The key is to be humble and apologetic and slowly find out whether "other options" are possible.
Offering money in an arrogant manner is not the way, even corrupt people have pride.

Bravo!

Malaysia Boleh!

Corrupted Singaporeans are corrupting Malaysia, lock them up in Malaysian Prisons!

Throw them off the 14th floor MAAC building like Teoh Beng Hock.

:D

Thank You Najib!

Well Done man!

This was exactly what I advised you to do when you came visited me recently.

Good things you had learned from me huh? :D
