台南晚間8點41分發生規模4.3地震， 有部分地區傳出停水情況， 還有民眾表示在的地震開始聽到爆炸聲，「 以為是阿共打過來了」
根據網路上的資料顯示，所謂的「地鳴」，係地震發生時，一小部分地震波能量傳入空氣變成聲波而形成的聲音，和地光一樣是地震的徵兆，往往發生在地震前的幾秒、幾分鐘或幾小時、甚至幾天内，在震中區或近震中的範圍内能普遍聽到。
而在地震發生後，部分地區傳出短暫停水。
自來水公司第六區處表示，地震發生後，立刻監看各處水壓資料，並立刻召開緊急應變會議及動員巡視台南之自來水管狀況。
水公司表示，地震可能會造成水管內的壓力突然下降，形成短暫的停水，地震過後就會逐漸恢復，但如果停水的時間拖長，可能是有管線破漏，可向水公司反映。
目前了解安平區光州路68號，疑似水管破裂導致路面滲水，其他的災情還在清查中。
