LTA director of active mobility and policy Tan Shin Gee said the Government would facilitate the use of PMDs, as some people desire a lightweight mode of transport "less strenuous than walking or cycling".

"The emphasis should be on making sure people know what are the rules, and what are the appropriate codes of conduct or etiquette when they use such devices and share public spaces with people," said Ms Tan.

"The e-scooter is not dangerous; it's how the user uses it," said Telepod co-founder Chan Jit Yen, 26.

Stupid twats - guns and heroin are not dangerous if you lock them up at home and dun touch them. They wun bite a chunk off your leg.

Escooter (and cycling) problems are: no space, speeding and zero enforcement.

Are foot paths in Singkieland suitable for such tpt equipment?

that is the thing...the existing laws say it is illegal for cyclists to be on the foot paths but this is not enforced. as for scooters there are no such laws yet so it is "anything goes". as for suitability. anyone with half a brain can see that these things are unsuitable and dangerous...but lhl likes them.
