【星島日報報道】社交網站Facebook專頁流傳照片，見到國泰航空一架波音777客機，在意大利首都羅馬錢皮諾機場，當地時間下午1時在拖行期間機翼撞到燈柱，右邊機翼末段嚴重損毀。有關航機涉及從羅馬飛往香港的CX292航班，航班被迫取消。事件引起不少網民議論紛紛。
國泰航空方面回應查詢，指國泰航空原定於當地下午1時05分 由羅馬飛往香港的CX292航班，於機場被卡車拖行時涉及一宗事故。該尚未載客的波音777-300ER客機當時由當地機場地勤代理操作的卡車拖行，期間客機其中一邊機翼尖端與一根立桿發生碰撞。航空公司正積極為乘客安排其他航班，讓他們盡快繼續行程，抵達目的地。
