Does EMP knock out drones?
I think our leopards and other hardware can be sitting ducks with the usage of drone warfare.
That's what they are working on. EMP devices and laser beams to shut down drones (depending on their size). Else, tanks and other land assets will be sitting ducks for AGM-65 Maverick and AGM-114 Hellfire missiles.

and then there are counter drones with emp beams.

According to Boeing:
CHAMP approached its first target and fired a burst of High Power Microwaves at a two story building built on the test range. Inside rows of personal computers and electrical systems were turned on to gauge the effects of the powerful radio waves. Seconds later the PC monitors went dark and cheers erupted in the conference room. CHAMP had successfully knocked out the computer and electrical systems in the target building. Even the television cameras set up to record the test were knocked off line without collateral damage. "This technology marks a new era in modern-day warfare," said Keith Coleman, CHAMP program manager for Boeing Phantom Works. "In the near future, this technology may be used to render an enemy's electronic and data systems useless even before the first troops or aircraft arrive."

Worse case scenario.

The smaller and yet more powerful the drones using different upgraded materials and you need similar upgraded tech to counter it's an never ending challenge.

It depends , currently US , Russia , China and Israel are in this league , lately India too have developed its own but US has the most varieties compared to all and US have some whic are developed just for attack purposes whreas Russian use it mostly for spying

now , US has one for Attack called the Predator, it’s very small like a hawk and very quiet and fly slowly ...people targeted will mistake it for a bird mainly because of its slow approach unlike missiles or planes and it’s extremely difficult to shoot it down ...most importantly the availability of laser and other kinds of defences against drones might not be available on the spot

US also has the fastest drone the X43A at the speed of Mach 8 is the fastest flying machines of any kind in the earth and is launchable from another jet

but Russian dronrs for spying with longer range could be shot down

i see u've been following azerbaijan-armenia war updates

& how azeris been using turkish bayraktar tb-2 drones to knock out armenian static/slow positions on land.

malaysia and indonesia must place orders for at least 3 billion dollars worth of drones.

not only the bayraktar tb-2 drones

860x394.jpg

but also a bigger - badder as in 'meaner' - one in Akinci (pronounced Akinji, or raider in turkish supposedly)

IF the full range of weapons (mockups) displayed here are developed and sold in bulk to Malaysia and Indonesia, at least 50 billion RM worth of orders can be placed by Malaysia/Indonesia for permanently 'caging' Stinkypura the paper tiger with paper generals with their million dollar salaries.

orders need not be placed over a single year, but spread out over multiple years to smash stinkypura to oblivion.

other option is 20k ballistic missiles, intermediate and medium range ballistic missiles

dispersed all around malaya, borneo, sumatra, java, etc

so world's most advanced ISR fleet oso can't hunt down all of them, not even 50% of them.

while stinkypura can be flattened, again and again, incl any potential 're-inforcements' sent by yanks/ceca or any other kafir countries that ah loong would ask for 'protection'

tanks and armored vehicles with closed hatches behave like faraday cages and thus should be immune to emp strikes. they are however vulnerable to anti-tank heat rounds or rockets fired from aircraft including drones. the armor on top is the thinnest.

mudhatter pointed out the Turkish drones, perfect for the job.
