A 42-year-old man driving a Mercedes-Benz apparently fainted while driving and hit five vehicles – three taxis, a bus and a car – and caused a massive traffic jam in the Bugis area last night.
The series of collisions happened around 8.30pm last night.
In a video footage captured and loaded on YouTube, there was a moment when after hitting one taxi, passengers in that taxi were seen scrambling out and running to safety as the Mercedes-Benz appeared to nudge the taxi out of the way.

Police told inSing News that when they arrived at the scene, the Mercedes-Benz was already on a road divider at the junction of Victoria Street and Middle Road.
They said no one was injured.
The string of accidents started earlier near the junction of Stamford Road and Victoria Street, when the Mercedes-Benz driver collided with a ComfortDelGro taxi, causing the taxi to hit a lorry.
It then hit a TransCab taxi – the scene captured in the video above – before it went on to hit a double-decker bus.
It continued down the road, hitting another TransCab and finally another car, a Mitsubishi Lancer, before ending up on the divider.
Police said investigations are ongoing.
