Driver arrested after man dies in tipper truck accident

SINGAPORE: A 27-year-old man, believed to be an Indian national, died on Saturday after being involved in an accident with a tipper truck.
The 33-year-old driver of the tipper truck was arrested for causing death by negligent act and is assisting with police investigations.
According to the police, the accident happened just before 3pm near the entrance of a work site along Tampines Road.
Police said the man was pronounced dead by paramedics at the scene. - CNA/xq
