If we analyze their actions most are acting like fools than heroes. Only that driver who went over the divider did something sensible because the car can still squeeze through if it is not blocked. Just couldn't understand the intention of the guy who climb onto the bonnet to get to the driver's side since the doors are already blocked and there is no way for the driver to get out. If the driver has a gun, he would be the first target.So many cars against 1.....act hero but little india case all the heros went missing

In the 1980s, CNB officers operated in Malaysia against Malaysian drug suppliers who sent their drugs to Singapore, Often, the Malaysian Police were kept in the dark until it was time to strike, whereupon the information would be released to the Malaysian Police so that joint ops could be carried out.
In one ops, CNB officers led the Malaysian Police Special Forces - the Unit Tindakan Khas (UTK), into the jungles to raid a heroin lab. The resulting arrests led to Malaysian Police uncovering one of the largest drug trafficking rings in the Peninsular. The UTK and 69th Commando Battalion was later merged. It was then called Pasukan Gerakan Khas (PGK).

THese combined Ops came to an end in the 1990s when ISD officers like Smily Sim and the Long Jaw were posted to CNB. The ISD types viewed the Malaysians with suspicion, and instead of offering continued cooperation, Singapore withdrew.
This chapter in Singapore's law enforcement history remains hidden..... as usual.......

In the 1980s, the Malaysians were so very open-minded that they even gave CNB operatives in Johore licenses to carry firearms.... imagine this - Singapore officers carried weapons in Malaysian territory, with official approval. If anyone was shot, I am sure they would have covered it up for Singapore.
Malaysian cops and Singapore cops could also cross into each other's territory without need for passports. All that was required was the Warrant Card.

Malaysian Special Branch are really good and they operate together with the rest of the Malaysian Police in the same stations, bases and locations. They therefore get info more readily as people know who they are. The covert lot however remain behind the scenes for obvious reason. In Singapore everyone is covert and cannot be found. Have to rely totally on informants.
