FEB 16 — There are times when governments fight to keep documents secret to protect sensitive intelligence or other vital national security interests. And there are times when they are just trying to cover up incompetence, misbehavior or lawbreaking.
Last week, when a British court released secret intelligence material relating to the torture allegations of a former Guantánamo prisoner, Binyam Mohamed, it was clear that the second motive had been in play when both the Bush and the Obama administrations and some high-ranking British officials tried to prevent the disclosure.
Mohamed, an Ethiopian-born British resident, is a victim of President George W. Bush’s extraordinary rendition program, under which foreigners were kidnapped and flown to other countries for interrogation and torture. He was subjected to physical and psychological abuse in Pakistan, Morocco and a CIA-run prison outside Kabul before being sent to Guantánamo. His seven-year ordeal ended when he was freed last February.
At issue in the British court were seven paragraphs derived from American intelligence documents. The Bush administration claimed the material contained top-secret information and threatened to cut off intelligence sharing with Britain if it was released. Last year, Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton repeated those threats, despite President Obama’s campaign promises of openness and the rule of law in his detainee policy.
The paragraphs contained no real secrets. Mainly, the document — a summary of information that American intelligence provided to Britain’s security service, MI5 — echoes previous disclosures by the CIA and Mohamed’s harrowing account of his ordeal.
But what it does contain is the assessment by British intelligence that his treatment violated legal prohibitions against torture and cruel, inhumane and degrading treatment of prisoners.
A spokesman for President Obama expressed “deep disappointment” in the court’s decision, which might have been shocking except that Obama has refused to support any real investigation of Bush’s lawless detention policies. His lawyers have tried to shut down court cases filed by victims of those policies, with the same extravagant claims of state secrets and executive power that Bush made.
The full Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals is weighing the Justice Department’s attempt to shut down a civil lawsuit brought by Mohamed and four others — on a flimsy national security claim that has been rendered even flimsier by the British court.
Then there is the case of Maher Arar, a Syrian-born Canadian citizen who was seized at Kennedy Airport by federal agents acting on bad information. After being harshly interrogated, he was sent to Syria, where he was tortured. In November, Arar’s civil suit was dismissed by the Second Circuit Court of Appeals, which essentially bought the Bush administration’s bogus national security claims, extended under MObama. A failure to release recordings of security video cameras thought to ring the Pentagon or traffic monitoring video cameras along the nearby highways maintained by the Virginia Department of Transportation.
A failure to release photographs of the Pentagon's interior prior to removal of debris.
A failure to disclose the fate of aircraft debris collected at the Pentagon, and their failure to document or disclose the results of any attempts to identify the aircraft parts.
An implausible insistence that the recovered black boxes yielded "nothing useful."
This behavior is consistent with three different motives on the parts of the those responsible for suppression and destruction of evidence.

Jetliner Aerobatics by Flight School Dropout Who Never Flew a Jet
None of the hijackers were good pilots. None had ever flown jets, let alone large commercial jetliners. Hani Hanjour, the person accused of flying Flight 77 into the Pentagon, was failing his courses at the Arizona flight school. According to an employee, "He didn't care about the fact that he couldn't get through the course." 1 Rick Garza, a flight instructor at Sorbi's Flying Club, had this to say about the two alleged hijackers originally thought to have piloted Flight 77, Khalid al-Mihdar and Nawaq al-Hamzi: "It was like Dumb and Dumber, I mean, they were clueless. It was clear they were never going to make it as pilots."
In the second week of August 2001, Hanjour had attempted to rent a small plane from an airport in Bowie, MD. Flight instructors Sheri Baxter and Ben Conner declined his request, after taking Hanjour on three test runs, noting he had trouble controlling and landing the Cessna 172. Though Hanjour had attended a flight school in Scottsdale, AZ, for four months in 1996 and 1997, he never completed the coursework for a single-engine aircraft license. 2
It is doubtful that the best trained fighter pilots could have executed the maneuver that supposedly crashed a 757 into the Pentagon. It required making a tight 320-degree turn while descending seven thousand feet, then leveling out so as to fly low enough over the highway just west of the Pentagon to knock down lamp posts. After crossing the highway the pilot had to take the plane to within inches of the ground so as to crash into the Pentagon at the first-floor level and at such a shallow angle that an engine penetrated three rings of the building, while managing to avoid touching the lawn. And he had to do all of this while flying over 400 mph. Quite a feat for a flight school flunky who had never sat in the cockpit of a jet!

The portion of the Pentagon that was attacked, the West Block, was in the process of being renovated, and so was at low occupancy.
No high-level Pentagon officials were killed in the attack.

2. How did Thermite get into the debris of the buildings? Thermite is a chemical compound used to cut steel and traces of it was found among the debris.
3. Four panel members of the 911 investigation committee quit complaining that they are not unable to dispense their duties effectively due to external interference and obstruction to evidence and facts. Why ware't their concerns taken seriously?
4. 100,000USD was transferred into one of the terrorists bank accounts, shortly before the tragic event, by a Pakistani general with close relationships to the US. However this lead was dismissed as insignificant to warrant further investigation. Financial sourcing for these "terrorists" is of critical importance and only a fool would dismiss it as insignificant.
5. Why did Bush and Cheney testify together at the 911 hearing? It is standard procedure to question key personnel in a hearing separately so that their claims can be corroborated and checked for discrepancies. why the exemption for these two?

Mahathir is just upset that his Cordoba House project is facing a lot of opposition in New York. Mahathir is one of the those funding and lending his skills of deceit, subterfuge and lies to the building of a mosque near (two city blocks within) ground zero in NYC.
The project requires the demolition of two buildings damaged in the 9/11 attacks and a mainly Islamic complex that houses a mosque, cultural centre, community centre, restaurants and other amenities built in its place.
People do not want a place of worship that primarily was the religion that caused 9/11 to exist on what many argue is sacred ground.
Mahathir has been outted by good research to show that Hamas, Hizbollah and some Syrian cleric who unabashedly stated that killing of Americans, Christians and Jews is justified; leads the Cordoba House project. The infamous, recalcitrant of a vitriolic Jew-baiter even agrees with Iran's Ahmeddinejad (Ahmed the nutjob) that the holocaust didn't quite happen.
Also the name Cordoba House is a throwback to the Islamic conquest of Europe, namely Cordoba in Spain and is, as many would further argue, shows the true nature of expansionist Islam and the part realisation of the global caliphate's goal of expanding Islamic sha'ariah in Western nations.
So all those 9/11 truthers and conspiracy nuts who do not realise they are mere pawns if they continue to blame the US government for 9/11 and blackflag operations, when the bigger threat of radical Islamofacism is at their doorstep.
