Lol, methinks that Char lAtan character is WKS himself or someone very closely lee-lated to him. Has he ever considered that people may not want to live perpetually with the tensions of being an immigrant society? It takes time for a community of people to bond with and trust each other. By constantly throwing new faces into the mix, this process will never happen and the people will never find their identity and feel a sense of belonging. It took a few decades to see the shoots of a new nation and now the PAP wants to trample all over them. Just so that they could protect their political dominance. They are traitors alright, putting their own interests before that of the country's.

Nobody is being xenophobic but on a tiny island of just a few hundred square kilometres and bursting to the seams with people, care must be taken when artificially growing the population. All they have ever considered was how this would translate into bigger paychecks for them.
