Its very fake to say average ppl wont feel the "sharp" effect.

U want to compare inflation? compare the food price 10 years ago or even 5 years ago.

Best is to compare housing price. because huge % of our entire life's labour efford will go into housing for most people.​

Price still the same, but ayam penyet dish from food court now looks nothing like pic

STOMPer WL wonders what happened to an ayam penyet dish served in a food court. The $5.70 dish does not resemble that in the photo anymore, said the STOMPer.

By extension of his comments, can I say that since the average Sinkie does not own a restaurant, and that therefore the increased costs of the restaurant (be it rental or purchasse price) affects only the restaurant owners and not to us average Singaporeans?

The average Singaporean won't buy a house or flat and a car every year but every couple wanting to set up home does need a flat or house and many in some phase of life will need a car. And the average Singaporean will pay for a flat or a house and the better off ones may also buy a car several times throughout his lifetime. If inflation is an insurmountable issue, that home-making is going to be delayed and the TFR will have great difficulty lifting up.
