Asked if a number of the fourth-generation leadership seemed to be similar in profile, and how he would minimise group-think, Mr Ng said: "All of us have unique life experiences... we all bring unique perspectives. Even while we were in the SAF (Singapore Armed Forces), we speak our mind, we share our views – and the only common thing that drives us is the common desire to serve and achieve the best outcomes."
He noted that the risk of group-think is "not unique to SAF" but common in all corporations. The best way to avoid it is "to be aware of the probabilities and possibilities, and thereafter make sure we listen actively to differing views, consult widely from different sectors, so that we can seek out the best ideas".
A typical Teo Chee Hean response which equals to "no answer" or worse, "what do you think?"
No wonder he is not even in line to be PM, and they need to look outside.
