I bet not many here remember Billy Fury.

In 1983 Poor Billy suffered a massive heart attack and passed away at age 42.

Part of Edison Lighthouse became Brotherhood of Man...." United We Stand" etc.. I used to go to a classmate house in Naval Base back the, on a certain day of the week, where there is favourable wind & reception of the SW Radio....we could tune in " Voice Of America, from Saigon"...& the often played song, which still rings in my head was, The Marmalade " Reflection Of My Life", the opening bridge with unmistakable bass & drum line...."the changing of sunlight to moonlight...reflection of life...I don't want to die..."

what memories....VOA Vietnam..

Remember these songs?

4. You Really Got Me(Kinks)

In the style of Stars-on-45 (remember this ?)

This one reminds me of Capitol and Odeon where Thunder Bird, The Quest, and few others performed every Sunday morning, The Early Bird Show.

Dear Leongsam,

Your selection here identifies you. The real you, my brother. May you and your loved ones be well and happy.

Remember it is all in your mind. We are forever young. Always at 18 with a few decades of experience to call upon.

Fondly,

Proud Chinese, Reddog.

Local talents of the 60's.

Englishman Keith Locke was an RAF aircraft mechanic at Changi airbase.

I selected those songs because they were 60s songs. I have 70s, 80s favorites too.

Naomi and the Boys - Local talent amidst the Indonesian Confrontation. Their music brought much joy during those times of turmoil and uncertainties......
