There are evangelicals whose views about the Middle East are primarily motivated by supersessionist theology and bringing on the rapture. But the comfort level of Jewish conservatives with an alliance with right-wing Christian groups is no betrayal of Jewish interests.
Evangelical affection for Israel is genuine and rooted far more in their belief in the binding authority of the bible than in eschatological scenarios in which a war might bring on Armageddon. Moreover, the notion that Jews should spurn Christian support because of what they might happen after a rapture Jews believe won’t happen, is illogical.

Your reply is strange, given your penchant for posting socio-political news in the Middle East. It is a fact that any multi-cultural, multi-religious place is much more stable if muslims are not in charge. I wonder how you could miss these news. Either you have a very narrow tunnel vision despite your supposed interest in Middle East affairs, you are a hamas supporter or a muslim. Maybe all 3.

It is a fact that if the religious shrines in Jerusalem remain under Jewish control, all the main religious groups will enjoy better security and freedom of worship.

Islamization of East Jerusalem under Jordanian occupation is what occurred during the Jordanian occupation of the West Bank between 1948–1967, when Jordan sought to alter the demographics and landscape of the city to enhance its Muslim character at the expense of its Jewish and Christian ones. At this time, all Jewish residents were expelled, and restrictions were imposed on the Christian population that led many to leave the city. Ghada Hashem Talhami states that during its nineteen years of rule, the government of Jordan took actions to accentuate the spiritual Islamic status of Jerusalem.[1] Raphael Israeli, an Israeli professor, described these measures as "Arabization".[2]

A 70-year-old Christian woman has been stripped naked, beaten and paraded through the streets by a mob of around 300 Muslim men in a village in southern Egypt.

The mob also burned down seven homes belonging to Christian families, according to an unusually outspoken statement issued by the local Orthodox Coptic church, after rumours circulated in the village that a Christian man was having a relationship with a Muslim woman.

The arrest of a Christian man accused of making remarks against the Muslim prophet Mohammed wasn't enough to appease an angry mob in Pakistan this weekend.
More than 100 homes of Christians were set on fire by outraged Muslims in the Badami Bagh community in Lahore on Saturday after police arrested Sawan Masih, a Christian in his mid-20s accused of speaking against Mohammad, officials said.

"Mob wanted police to hand them over the alleged blasphemer," said Hafiz Majid, the senior police official in Badami Bagh.

The mob also looted some shops run by Christians, he said.

Majid said Christians have fled the area for fear of being killed.

Hundreds of people plundered and burned down several Buddhist temples or vihara in Tanjung Balai, North Sumatra, on Friday evening. No fatalities or injuries occurred in the anarchic acts, which took place until early Saturday.

It is estimated that the attacks have caused billions of rupiah in losses.

North Sumatra Police spokesperson Sr. Comr. Rina Sari Ginting said the riots began when a 41-year-old of Chinese descent, only identified as Meliana, reprimanded an administrator of the Al Maksum Mosque to lower its microphone volume.

This is not really a correct description of Christian beliefs with regard to Israel and Jerusalem. As a Christian, you cannot hasten Armageddon. Neither can you do anything stop it or slow it down as often portrayed in the movies. The events in Revelation happen in accordance to God's will. God and God alone decides.

Those evangelicals need to cut back on their imagination. As you said, Armageddon will come in its due time.

The hard truth is that when muslims gain political control over non-muslim religious shrines, they will do their utmost to desecrate or demolish it, as I showed in numerous examples above. The arabs are very quiet about Jordanian occupation of jerusalem from 1948 to 1967 and they transfer all the jordanian war crimes to the israelis.

"While the news has been badly received among Christian communities in the Middle East, the move was in part a political gesture aimed at Christians: white evangelical voters, who backed Trump overwhelmingly in last year’s presidential election. American evangelical Christians — who believe that the right of the Jews to Jerusalem is enshrined in the Bible and that their presence there will usher in Judgment Day — were a powerful lobbying force behind the decision.

Palestinian Christians complain that Christian evangelicals’ support of Israel doesn’t take into consideration the rights and needs of Christians in the homeland of their religion.

“This is where it all started,” said the Rev. Mitri Raheb, a Lutheran pastor in Bethlehem. “The Bible originated in Palestine, not in the Bible Belt, but people in the Bible Belt read the Bible in a way that really makes our lives difficult.”

I am not aware of Jerusalem's importance in Islam. Is Jerusalem mentioned in the quran? Did muhammad, the only real prophet of islam, ever visit Jerusalem?

Do you feel the same way when muslim mobs regularly torch churches and temples? If not, what's the big deal about being harassed by Israeli soldiers? Maybe if muslims stop taking cover in mosques after throwing stones at Jews, Israeli soldiers won't harass them. That's the part you always ignore.

My understanding is that muhammad never once stepped foot into Judea. So he never visited jerusalem. Flying on winged donkeys in a dream is not counted. That's called lying or getting high.

Bastard Trump threatening the free world!

WASHINGTON/UNITED NATIONS (Reuters) - U.S. President Donald Trump on Wednesday threatened to cut off financial aid to countries that vote in favor of a draft United Nations resolution calling for the United States to withdraw its decision to recognize Jerusalem as Israel’s capital.

“They take hundreds of millions of dollars and even billions of dollars, and then they vote against us. Well, we’re watching those votes. Let them vote against us. We’ll save a lot. We don’t care,” Trump told reporters at the White House.
