I recommend you hang onto your "old" ADSL modem & the cables if it's still working.
Although I got a new modem when I re-contracted with Singtel I kept the old one. I'm glad I had it handy when I had problems connecting to the internet today. I was able to use it to isolate the problem to a faulty modem in only 5 minutes, by simply exchanging the cables & finally the modem.
You still need to contact Singtel to get the contact number of the manufacturer of the modem to get an exchange. The maker of the modem is a company called Malifax.
