According to the TOC editors, out WP's 23 candidates contested in GE2011, only 5 were not made cadre. Three of them are minority candidates. The 2 Chinese candidates being Angela Oon (for reason widely known), and Watson Chong.

Hard Truths: Why is it so easy for the 15 Chinese candidates, out 17 of them in GE2011 (ie 88%), to obtain their cadreship? Why is it so damn bloody difficult for the 3 minority candidates, out of 6 of them in GE2011 (50%) , to be rewarded their cadreship?

Does WP has different set of criterias for awarding cadreship based on the colour of the skin? Is WP still practising Apartheid?

No, not truth. They based on human factors like emotional maturity, calibre and passion. Those who left WP lack these very 3 important elements LTK was looking for. Based on past history, we also see couple of chinese left the party when they felt it challenging to serve the opposition. These people wanted to make a quick mark for themselves and wanted a fast win. LTK ever warned people who joined opposition that if they only wanted to win, than oppositon is not the place for them to seek victory, so they better join PAP. That sums up why people leave because they are people who illusionalise too much.

Then why did Sylvia Lim single out the Indian community with such venomous racist remark:

I think you should respond to zeddy directly. How do you compare LKY's remark about Singapore being not ready for an Indian PM, to Mr. Sajeev's allegations against SL?

This racism line is bad for politics in Singapore. We should stop this as the racial card will divide Singapore, regardless of whether the charges of racism is hurled against WP or PAP. As a small multi-racial society. We can't afford to become fragmented on the subject of race.

WP, who are seeking mandate from electorates, should furnish the public with conclusive evidence that they are not a racist party.

Sylvia Lim, for a start, should admit or deny categorically whether she ever made that racist remark to Sadeep , ie Indians are more prone to leave the party after obtaining cadreship.

WP should also release info on their cadreship, ie what is the proportion of minority among their cadres.

If WP is not a racist party and claim to be a 'First World Party', as well a sbeing 'Transparent' and 'Accountable', surely they would be able to fulfill such simple task.

So, what's there for them to hide?

Oh really? that is a mild opinion from SL. I would have used a more harsh and comprehensive tone such as:

"We have tried to groom and give the indian opportunity to prove their loyalty but they wanted more for themselves than we could possibly provide and thus they leave prematurely. Will you be the same? Please prove to us another term since you weren't active in the last term, so that we have better understanding of where you came from and you will be rewarded accordingly. At least, you must prove yourselves to the constituents you served, and not nagging us for rewards. Community comes before self. "

Instead Sajeev did not want to prove himself, as what SL has foreseen, he went around throwing bad vibes about SL and the party. End of the day, his own racism drag down the whole of Indian community within Singapore. The damage came from him and no one else.:oIo:

Although I am 100% anti-WP, I'm also 100% anti-racism. If other parties were to play the race card, I would also stand against them.

The question is: do you still continue to support and defend WP despite their unwillingness and inability to clarify charges of racism, despite their reluctance to speak up for the minority community?
