To borrow from PAP showgirl Josephine Teo, we are scratching our head why this qualifies as news. But since it came from PAP lapdog reporter Rachel Chang, we are not surprised.

Rachel Chang made a big case of new "activists" joining the PAP grassroots and claiming to represent the voice of the people.

One of the activists, Joshua Yak claimed:

"People have this image that PAP activists are rich people or towkays but we are fellow human beings off the street."

Come on, Rachel Chang.

Of the five new "activists" you highlighted and identified, three fall under the upper to upper-middle class:

1. Jerry Koh, a partner at Allen & Gledhill who specializes in Reits.

2. Henry Kwek, director and MD at half a dozen firms.

3. Joshua Yak himself is the owner of an interior design firm.

So does PAP represent the rich or not?

PAP does not represent the country but several hundred select families who prostitute themselves according to the whims and fancies of the real chess masters of politics in the world.

You missed out another point.

超级白also represents foreign trash.

PAP represents the interest of the PAP lah. This u don't know? Are u a malaysian?

The PAP does not represent the rich. However, it does make a point of ensuring that its members are hardworking and successful people who will inspire others to emulate their successes.

I would far prefer the PAP hierarchy to be headed by those with a proven track record rather than some lowly taxi driver, security guard or janitor.

Imagine how disastrous it would be for the country if the PAP was full of unskilled peasants who were incapable of running their own lives. How would they be solving the social problems around them where, in all probability, they were part of the problem themselves.

Pap IS the rich. You are either with them or against them.

Since when is being rich a crime?

Don't be stupid. Being rich is not a crime. But acquiring your wealth by corrupt means is. When u demand and get a big discount on your luxury condo build by HPL, that is a crime. When your law firm is given the automatic contract for all HDB conveyancing, that is a crime. I can name u many more examples.

That's not corruption. It's called "being well connected" you twit.

99% of the world's wealthy did not get rich by being hermits. They grew their wealth by forming strategic alliances with the right people. The ability to network to ones advantage is one of the hallmarks of a successful person. Winners seek out other winners. Losers spend their time feeling sorry for themselves.

.

I see. So exactly what proven track record did S Rajaratnam have for being a minister? he was journalist before he joined politics. What proven track record did Lee Con You have? He was a small time labour lawyer, never ran for any political office before. What about Devan Nair? Never even when to uni, only got A levels, why was he qualified to be a President? There are many oppo people with degrees. take a break from being a PAP porlumpar.

The PAP is not what it says it is in party propaganda. It is what its most influential members want it to be. These will in turn induct people of similar background who will act in pursuance of their vested interests while making a pretence of doing good for the people.

I would prefer the PAP top brass stop FIXING the Opposition so as to hinder them in recruitment of true talent motivated by a desire to serve others. There is enough talent to have 2 or even 3 parties, each with at least 30 people of Ministerial quality ready to take over the helm of government if called upon to do so by a majority of voters in free and fair elections. LOL!

What you mentioned has already occurred. The PAPzi's vile, dictatorial and self serving ways and daft Sinkies' willingness to sell their votes for "freebies" have pushed many talented and hardworking Singaporeans who can stand on their own two feet and make it anywhere to emigrate. So what is left are the true peasants. LOL!

Rajaratnam was a founder member of the great PAP. He showed great courage in standing up to the then colonial rulers.

LKY was also a founder member of the PAP with a First Class Honors degree from Cambridge.

Devan Nair was the only PAP candidate to ever win a seat in Malaysia. He also founded the NTUC.

They were giants among men. Without them, Singapore would still be swampland.

Don't avoid your own question. What proven track record did they have in running a country?

Nowhere did I say that all PAP members needed proven track records in running a country. All I said was that they had proven track records of being hardworking and successful.

You should go back to school for comprehension lessons.

Let me highlight again what I said :

Show me where I ever mentioned that the track record referred to experience in running a country.

hardworking and successful taxi driver earning $4k can?

At the end of the day, it is for the electorate to decide. If they think a taxi driver can handle the complexities of international politics, they are most welcome to give him a go. I for one would prefer someone with more grey matter.
