For Amazon and eBay, i shop without fear and worries as buyers are in favor. If u get fakes, open a ticket and get a refund. For Amazon, shipping fees is expensive if your total shopping cart value is below USD35.
For other e-commerce sites, i usually test water with very cheap items for a start so that in case something goes wrong and i face hassle in getting refund, i can forfeit it.

In comparison with the two, eBay has more rogue vendors selling fakes than Amazon. Despite that, i prefer eBay over Amazon because of that
Moreover refund is easy and most Chinese vendors provide free shipping. Amazon has been going after reviewers getting paid for writing fake reviews. It is true. You have the option to return items if not satisfied.
Amazon offers FREE shipping to Spore under the following limitations:
1) The total value of the order must be US$135 & above.
2) All the item must be sold by Amazon & not just being fulfilled by Amazon, & Prime is being offered. You will have to look at the description to see if the item is being sold by Amazon.
3) It is not one of the restricted brands
If you try to pay for your order & see that there is no FREEE shipping option being offered then one of the items you selected does not satisfy these 3 conditions.
Fortunately many of the popular items are being sold by Amazon itself & not just being fulfilled by Amazon.
Take note that some items that satisfy the above conditions cannot be shipped overseas. Some brands forbid Amazon from selling overseas because of licensing issues with their overseas distributors.
In such cases you will have to use a freight forwarder or find a merchant who is willing to ship overseas. Ebay is a good place to look. There are always merchants there who are willing to ship overseas.
Another option is to use a freight forwarder.
Whether an item is shipped by Amazon or a freight forwarder, take note that some items cannot be shipped by air e.g. lithium ion batteries, lubricants, chemicals, firearms, starlight scopes, pornography. EEhh....actually some merchants at Ebay will ship these items

Just finished ordering from Amazon & noticed that some bulky items that are sold & fulfilled by Amazon are not covered by the free shipping e.g. pole, buckets,..
They will still ship to Spore but you'll have to pay for the shipping.
