Movie ticket (in my opinion) is no loner cheap.
Honestly, I can't really afford to watch movies in cinema so often.
Do you still go to cinema these days?

Nope. Ever since I became a papa, I only go the movies when I take the kid there. Last movie being The Lorax. My own favorites like Star Trek, Avengers, Ironman, all wait for the DVD release, then rent it together with a couple of bottles of beer and relax at home.

Cheers!

I don't watch cinema. I watch32.com

That's all I need without the high ticket prices and those sickening bombardist ads.

Ticket price keeps going up but salary stagnant.
Many big cinemas already converted to several cinemas in the same premises.
Some of them ended up having to "closed shop" over the years.
No many cinema owners can survive in this entertainment business in Sillypore.

You go to a cinema to watch with your friends and loved ones. It is an outing, an experience that cannot be replicated with online or DVD watching.

Occasionally you go to the cinema to watch a movie alone too, because you're into obscure movies with an 'artistic theme', and no friend you know has a taste for the genre.

Pay >$10 to have :

- Non-stop ads to assault your senses.
- Movies censored affecting continuity.
- Some motherfuckers' phone ringing during the movie.
- Some motherfuckers who don't bother clearing their bladders before entering the cinema.
- To pay for parking.

the movie I watched last in cinema was Out of Africa by Meryl Streep and Robert Redford

:o:o:o

With the influx of FTs in Singapore. Cinema ticket prices will only go up because of the perceived increase in patrons but not! Cinemas would invest in more space & equipment but end up all these FTs will only from pirated online website, even illegal DVDs will also be affected! And Sinkies will have to pay a lot more to enjoy a good movie! But at least the consolation of being able to watch a movie without the crowd!

Ive invested in a very good home cinema system & for music listening as well.
never stepped into the cinema since.

When i first started watching movies, a ticket was $5 for watching at GV and Cathay. If wanna save some money, i go to Prince @ clementi. I remember it ws $3.50 per ticket. Right now it's $12 per ticket.. i stay home watch.

both speaker choices aren't good i'm afraid.........the amp choice lagi worse.......Goldmund is famous for being nothing but a scam......just like most Swiss hifi and banks.......

When i first started watching movies, a ticket was $1 stall and $2 circle

Front stall was fifty-cents. At Ocean cinema in Siglap, sometimes, we'd sneak in the front stalls via the exits for free! I must've seen Bruce Lee's Big Boss six or seven times.

Cheers!

Maybe 5-10 years back, used to watch movies in Princess Cinema @ Bedok with my cousin before it closed down. Place was quite big, few people, so we usually seat at the back few rows to smoke. Tickets was pretty cheap, $5 or so, GV was $8 or 9 then...
