There is a reason why socks were invented. It is to absorb the perspiration and odour from the feet; to keep the feet dry and the insole clean.
Socks also help protect the feet from any abrasive parts of the shoe e.g. edges, coarse leather.
These so-called 'fashion designers" only pay attention to look and overlooked practicality.
