they always do this to get cash. they will sell it and rent it back. usually to reits. it will boost the ac of the company and make it looks good. some ceo do that for their own agenda:"see i took over that yr our cash up by so much." some company really need cash so sell it better. some its due to strategic adjustment, sell and out source all the non core functions. some due to relocation to other country. reason macam macam but the ultimate motive is for the huge cash flow.
