Please dont deviate from the facts reported...they made a big provision for bhartel losses due to india kangaroo court decisions...I have noticed a common trend by gic when investing in india...for example they will tell us to invest 10 mil now and reap 30 mil in 5 years time...however all the indirect and costs along the way will cost u approximately another 50 mil...after this 50 mil plus initially 10 mil is paid the profits will come in year 3 and will be say 20% of what was promised...its really like a rape some like it some dont...very subtle way of doing business unlike the Brazilians who require a bribe upfront

Looks like India is a laundry hub for TH...

Please don't anyhow post this type of no head no tail thread to smear PAP la, read the inside and you will see this

But group chief executive Chua Sock Koong said that notwithstanding the court ruling, "Airtel has made positive strides in the wake of the recent industry consolidation, gaining market share, and increasing mobile service revenue for a third straight quarter".

between reuters and straits times, which do you trust?

besides, it was already reported in march this year that "Airtel’s net debt stood at more than $15 billion as of Dec. 31, while its current market value is around $17.5 billion. Singtel had a net debt S$9.75 billion ($7 billion) at the time. "

it's like adding on another 668mil to burn with 15 billion if that's not enough.

me think India population of 1,500,000,000

could be the reason.

If these Indian still has a nett debt of 15 billion all these years despite with such a massive population. This reflect a lot.
1st, the company management sucks.
2nd, the market is real fuck up.

India will screw any foreign investors that dare to compete with their prominent business families.
