An unemployed man, who kicked his Chinese national girlfriend and broke her nose over unrequited love was jailed for six months on Thursday.

Tang How Seng, 55, admitted causing grievous hurt to Ms Chen Xiao Mei, 28, a performance artiste at a club at Jalan Besar, at the McDonald's fast-food outlet at New World Centre, Jalan Berseh, on Feb 27 this year. A district court heard that Tang, a divorcee, had been in a relationship with Ms Chen since August last year, and had been supporting her financially.

Two months later, he suspected her of having an affair behind his back. On Feb 27, the victim and her three friends went to McDonald's and joined Tang who was seated alone at a table. Tang confronted the victim and they got into an argument. He then took out a knife and asked whether she had other boyfriends.

A scuffle ensued. The victim was hurt as a result and fell to the ground, bleeding. Tang then kicked her on the nose. He was restrained by her friends, one of whom managed to take the knife away from him.

Silly and foolish Singaporean man. Spent all the money.Supported his girl friend financially and asked such a silly question. But well, Singaporean men can be very gullible and easily deceived and fooled. When are the men going to learn how to handle women ?

Sigh.... Most of the china gals in Singapore are either pros or gold digger. Period

my friend , a divorcee fell for a china mei mei. they have been staying together for two years - hot torrid days and warm torrid nights. then the girl asked for marriage. he promised and promised...and delayed the ROM...then one day he agreed. the girl was so happy at long last.

on the day of the ROM. my friend chickened out and refused to go in.

the girl spat at him and left him....

Another gullible old man falling for the fox spirit who cleans him dry and leaves him.

While we must not let fox spirits win, there is no sympathy for this idiot.

This the reason why Sinkies can't withdraw their CPF funds at 55. They don't have to brains to make sound decisions.

rare agreement here. pigs always think with wrong head. especially the old hogs

shit times like to use poor englush....performance artiste in a club ? perform simi ,? blow jobs ?

Do Sinkie men get more stupid when they are older? At his age, he still think there is love between him and A 'a performance artiste at a club at Jalan Besar'? I like the term coined by Shit Times though.....Performance Artiste.

when a man getting old and lonely, he starts to become senile.:*:
tinking hanging flower will become his lover.:D

What crappy justification is this, where the irresponsible behaviour of a few is a valid reason for withholding the CPF funds of all Singapore Citizens?

How anyone wants to spend their money is their own problem, even if they spend it all, the government should not have a say in it. But if these recently wealthy people lose all their money in a short time and become another digit in their poor and destitute numbers, it worries the government as they will have to subsidise these poor people somewhat, after all private welfare organisations can only do so much. In such a scenario, the government has only two choices, give them handouts, subsidies and the likes, or watch the numbers begging on the streets and searching for cans quadruple, which will do wonders for the image of our first world city nation, where porverty. So a government scholar comes along, and tells them, hey guess what, I got an idea, why don't we raise the CPF withdrawal age for all Singaporeans so that the government can evade shouldering the social costs of the down and out elderly. Bloody brilliant.
