The white paper doesn't address this issue on water and energy, two key resources every economy need. Water and electricity are already one of the highest in the world, will it become the highest in the world in 2030 thanks to the 7 million people, where 3.5 million of them will be foreigners?

Can always import evian water.

Oh, or by people do you mean ordinary people who may not have excess wealth or connections or power?

If the existing 5mil could pee fast enough everyday it should be okay for the other 2 million

dat burger oredi said he got no 20/20 4site ... so dun brame him 4 any oversite n omissions ...

The sea is our water supply. No problem.
Water Distillation technology will improve over the years, but it will still not come cheap.

Recycle water is a cheaper option.

Just ask the non-locals to pay more for utilities. It's more than fair. What do you think? :D

The PAP gov't has told Sporeans that new water is safe.
I haven't heard of other countries using new water. Has there been any long term studies carried out in Spore to verify if it is safe or are we just guinea pigs. Is this another "stop at two" problem that is going to come back to haunt us ?

I often purchase distilled water from NTUC to use to brewing Essiac tea. I notice that the cheap house brand of distilled bottled water is imported from Malaysia. Given that NTUC is very profit minded, does this mean that the cost of producing distilled water is cheaper in Malaysia than it is producing it in Spore:confused:

The extra people in the increased population will provide the necessary raw materials for the production of more Newater. No worries. ;)
