In response to queries from the same paper, MCYS said it understood that the sports school "had conducted an investigation into the allegations and the school had considered the matter closed."
When he was asked about the rumours, 2009 SEA Games head coach Ang Peng Siong said he preferred not to comment.
When contacted, SSA president Jeffrey Leow said, "I'm not prepared to comment as Peter Churchill was employed under the Singapore Sports School during the 2009 Games, and not under the SSA."
