SPH Unionworks to launch women, family radio station on FM92.0

SPH Unionworks will operate a round-the-clock women and family radio station in English after being awarded the FM92.0 radio frequency by the Media Development Authority (MDA).
Earlier in March, the MDA held a public tender for two vacant frequencies - FM89.3 and FM92.0
The tender committee said: 'SPH Unionworks' proposal caters to an underserved, niche segment of the population.
Existing local radio stations do provide some women and family-related content but none of them are positioned as stations which cater solely to this audience segment.'
The MDA received a total of 11 bids, among the bidders were MediaCorp and StarHub.
