Trump called Kim Jong Un a "Little Rocket Man"
In Chinese, the "Little Rocket Man" had been translated as 小火箭人.

In Chinese and East Asian cultures, for a leader to be called a Little Man is the ultimate insult.
A Little Man 小人 in Confucian writings means a vile person, devoid of culture, morals, and decency. A villian, an uneducated and lowly ingrate, a person of the lowest order.

When Little Kim reads what Trump had called him, his Korean mind will go ballistic. We shall see some fireworks soonest......

So did Trump purposely used the term LITTLE MAN to poke at Kim, to force his hand to do something stupid? Or was it unintentional?

But Kim Jong Un is not Chinese is he? So, what's the problem? For all you know, Rocket Man or Little Rocket Man translated to Korean is a high compliment! ;)

Korean Culture is basically Confucian. Hence concepts expressed in the Analects of Confucious are copied wholesale from the Chinese. The concept of the "Little Man" should be present also in Korean Culture. The modern equivalent of the "Little man" is "Fucking Bastard"

Be that as it may, I think you read too much into Trump's "little rocket man". As much as I admire Mr Donald J Trump aka the liberator of the world, I don't think he thought to delve into chinese or asian languages. So take it at face value. Trump is just belittling Kim physically. Kim is 170cm, Trump is 191cm. Kim is 33yrs old, Trump is 71. That's my take.:D
