THAILAND'S government wants to buy a satellite company controlled by Temasek Holdings and part of the Shin Corp conglomerate bought by a Temasek-led consortium for US$3.8 billion (S$5.3 billion) in 2006.

The satellite firm, Thaicom, with a market value of about US$238 million, owns a television station accused by the government of broadcasting programmes in support of 'red shirt' protesters.

The government pulled the plug on the satellite-based People Channel in April, saying it had incited unrest. This action led to clashes between red-shirt supporters and police at the station's premises.

You think the paper generals and little eunuchs in Singapore has the balls to do something like this?

They just want to learn $$$ from other useless SEA countries like Malaysia, Thailand, Indonesia

It is just an excuse for the Thai government to take back the control of the satellites. It probably compromises the country's security.

The paper generals did not foresee, nor able to extrapolate, that this chain of events will happen.

Either they cannot see beyond their noses or they just don;lt care and think, just like in the SAF, those lesser mortal will clean their shit.

One thing lead to another, and caused the chaos in Land of Smiles.
