It only says Aljunied to Bugis (both directions), no train service.

A TODAY reader sent in a photo of Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) officers walking on the train tracks between Kallang and Lavender stations which both lie between Bugis and Aljunied stations.
SINGAPORE — MRT train services on a section of the East-West Line were disrupted on Thursday (Feb 25) evening at around 10pm.

In a tweet at 10.01pm, SMRT said that there are no train services between Bugis and Aljunied stations “due to an incident”.

The rail operator said that free regular and free bridging bus services are available between the two stations.

A Twitter user posted a photo showing commuters waiting for bus services at the Aljunied MRT station.

Separately, a TODAY reader sent in a photo of Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) officers walking on the train tracks between Kallang and Lavender stations which both lie between Bugis and Aljunied stations.

TODAY has sought comment from SMRT and SCDF.

It could be Kallang station or Lavender station incident. There are 2 stations between Bugis and Aljunied.

KNN my uncle think the most weird thing that happen for mrt rides are Sometimes after a train stopped to alight passengers then the train only left with a few passengers and another platform train alighted many passengers to board that train but the train will quickly close the door and move on KNN

SINGAPORE - Service on the East-West MRT Line was disrupted on Thursday evening (Feb 25) after a person who entered a tunnel near Lavender station was killed.

SMRT tweeted that the service disruption was due to a "train incident", but would not say more.
SMRT's Twitter alert went out at 9.48pm.

The Straits Times understands a person had intruded into the eastbound tunnel from a portal area at Lavender.
Freelance worker Bessie Tan, 59, said she was on a train from town at around 9.30pm when passengers were told to disembark at Bugis.

"Then the train left empty," she said. "We boarded the next train which carried passengers but it didn't leave Bugis and we were all told to leave train again."

She added that at first the announcement at the station "mumbled something like an incident at Lavender".
This is the first MRT track fatality since two SMRT trainees were knocked down by a train in March 2016.

Could be the dead person received the letter asking him to go for vaccination.

The vaccination letter is an appeal, not a court order. You are not obliged to get vaccinated upon receiving the letter. Many elderly folks are fooled into thinking it's mandatory because of the letter.

The deceased must have scaled this fence before Kallang station to get on the track. Otherwise how did he or she get onto the tracks. The station platforms for above ground stations on EW Lines have all been hoarded with high glass doors and panels.
