It would probably be better for Teo to understand how the public perceives the NCMP position. To cut things short, an NCMP position isn’t necessarily looked upon highly by everyone – it is not even considered the real deal, not when you can’t vote on amendment of the constitution, public funds, express a vote of no confidence in the government, and removing the president from office. You are just an MP whose wings have been clipped. Although there will be people who salivate at the offer of an NCMP position, I am sure there are others who don’t give two hoots about it.

Teo meant this statement as an attack on Png, asking whether Png is WP’s best man. However, bringing up the NCMP issue may just undermine Desmond’s campaign. This is a different kettle of fish altogether from Goh’s carrot dangling. This is rather what we call “ridicule psychology”.

Dear DPM Teo,
no voting rights in Parliament equals no say in Parliament! voice being heard is enough? NO WAY! Voting rights when the bills come to pass is more important! thank you :D:D:D

Since one old kaypo speak in Hokkien during the rally
Does he know what 'Chee Hean' means in Hokkien?
It's the foul smell of an overnight unwashed and used vagina
It's about the same smell like a HK foot in the mouth

By the same token, ask Teo whether Desmond is all they have for this BE? Why didn't PAP put some better candidates such as George Yeo or Abiddin or Alauddin and his wondrous lamp?

To finish it off, challenge TCH to a straight fight in GE 2016 for Hougang. May the best candidate win (my bet is on Png)!

The fact of the matter is that PAP is so desperate that they are prepared to have a DPM uttering pure nonsense, and hope against hope that somehow that would pull in another one or two votes. Such is the lack of confidence now with the PAP. If not for all the law professors abolishing Hri Kumar's ridiculous comments that the PM can take his time to call for a BE and Ravi bringing the matter to court, the PAP would drag this BE as long as it can as it has absolutely no confidence in winning at all. But now that it has to call the BE, they are resorting to all sort of desperate tactics, including one from this idiotic DPM Teo telling Hougang residents to vote Desmond Choo and get LTK for free. Any politician in the world would be rolling on the floor laughing if they hear this.

The simple answer is no politician in the world cares. Every world leader was glued to their TV on Burma's by-elections. Singapore? Flop.

No, he couldn't.
Ze silver spoon was still inside.

Do you know this particular Minister , nearly and technically ought to be
sacked... ??

U want the story..???

1. As a Real Admiral, he is totally responsbile for all matters relating to Navy, sea battle and defence ,including protection of our coast line ( though coastal police also has a pivotal role here)

2. He was then, also Minister of Defence when this happened..

3. A group of foreign " invaders" came armed ..but luckily with only parangs and some cleavers to rob residents in his GRC, Pasir ris. These armed men came by boats and sneaked in . They anchored their boats at Sungei Api Api and did their daring robbery and scooted off. Before they leave, the plug their wares, parangs on the small mould behind the victims" house.. This was pictured in ST.

4. Thereafter, he realised the need to cordon off the beach against these "intruders"
What if these were international terrorists, bring in high explosives to bomb Orchard rd MRT or the Istana..???..The Admiral would definately be sacked if this happened.

5. So. now if u go to Pasir ris beach or any coastline, you will see these blue barriers tied to cordon off small crafts that try to sneak in...

He is lucky to keep his job...because these sea intruders are small time pirates/robbers.... n not international terrorists...

The gist of the story...we are not prepared..and let our guard down....We beefed our coastal defence only after the incident...IN three words.... we only react..and not prepared.

Teo Chee Hean is not a politician. He lacks politican acumen. He is a technocrat. That is the problem when you get ex-military officers to become politicians. They often say the wrong things.

The only true blue politicians in the PAP are Lee Kuan Yew, K Shanmugam, Vivian Balakrishnan, Ng Eng Hen, Vikram Nair and ironically, Desmond Choo.

LOL thats what his parents wants him to be:D

The one who put his foot in his mouth is Png Eng Huat. Which part of "I actually took my name out off the ballot for the NCMP post" uttered by himself did he not understand? His integrity sure comes into question. Is he another liar and cheat, just like the MONGREL who bit his masters' hands LOUDHAILER chee soon juan?
