Singapore: Day three of the coroner's inquiry into the death of Indonesian student David Widjaja saw seven witnesses taking the stand on Friday.
The witnesses included five students from the Nanyang Technological University (NTU) where Widjaja studied.
One of them - graduate student Lobna Kamyab - was the last person to speak to the 21-year-old electrical and electronic engineering student.
The Iranian student said for ten minutes, she tried to coax Widjaja off the roof of the link bridge he had climbed onto.
She said she saw blood dripping from his elbow and his clothes were soaked in blood. When he suddenly appeared in front of her and started climbing onto the roof of the link bridge, she ran into a laboratory to ask staff inside to call the authorities before returning to his side.
But she was unable to stop him as he deliberately leaned forward and used both arms to push himself off the bridge.
Two other second-year students also testified that Widjaja did not slip and fall off.
The inquest continues on Monday.
