the civil service is nothing but a bloated bureaucracy that can be replaced with robots and automation. in the u.s. only fat losers with high school diplomas or a political science degree work in civil service roles. in sg, the best and brightest want to be awarded scholarships and work for the civil service. something must be awfully wrong in the private sector for so many bookworms to aim for the supposedly loser jobs.
