50 years later, perhaps you veteran oppo leaders still alive and well , you are not irrelevant if you boost about Democracy, Human rights, freedom !
Becos by that time 90% would be new citizens and their descendants , these people may have the blood to understand all these profound issues ! 10% may be the native people still catching mosquitoes , patrolling the coast , etc.
It is difficult to imagine becos sinkapore now is oredi so rojak , just cant figure out what would happen !
One thing is certain ---sinkapore will take over by foreigners if PAP still rules !
You Oppo parties are wasting everybody’s time talking about these issues becos these issues don’t make no sense to them, they simply don’t care ! It doesn’t serve a purpose in their livelihood.
You can talk tooth and nail to them until the cow comes home but they will not vote for you !
Communist China also got its own democrazy right ! Mynmar also got its own democrazy right !
The voters are more worried about rice on the table, all the household and family affairs---you know well this is a PAP product!
So to win votes, you oppo parties must go with the same tide and not sashay to the cul-de-sac to meet relics right !
Sinkapore Govt may be first world, but majority voters are trapped in the third world , you can get the most 20% or may be losing your deposits altogether next GE if you oppo parties think the voters understand Democrazy, Human rights, and freedom !
Just say the pledge is good enough oredi right !
Think about it, many of them pray to tree-roots, fight over Hello-kitty, waiting for goodies, love lift upgrading, you see what you are dealing with…..and you want to talk about democracy , human rights with these people ??? A big joke right !
In the land of blind , instead of calling for political freedom , It would be humane to educate , rehabilitate , and create awareness among the voters !
Only When you can make the voters smarter and streetsmart, and become more intelligent , never too late to share intelligent subjects !
