Expatriates whose jobs have been affected, have also moved out of Singapore. This has led to an increase in supply of homes and less demand for them, thereby reducing rents. Adding to this is the slew of stringent cooling measures by the government to prevent a property bubble here, which impacts the rental market.

A friend of mine told me they actually increased the rental fees when they rent out their condo recently. I guess they are one of the lucky ones.....

was whatsapping with my friend, he owned a few residential and commercial properties, few shops in sim lim square belong to him too. he said he did what he could, lower rental for few rounds already and still no takers.:eek:

中原地產研究部高級聯席董事黃良昇指出,中原城市領先指數CCL最新報127.46點,創79週(即18個月)新低,按週跌0.73%。中原城市大型屋苑領先指數CCL Mass報127.55點,創80週新低,按週跌0.85%。CCL(中小型單位)報126.40點,創79週新低,按週跌0.81%。樓價持續反覆向下,預計CCL下試120點水平。

新春長假後四週累計,港島跌5.51%、九龍跌3.41%、新界東跌0.23%、新界西跌1.84%。港九市區領跌,新界跟隨。港島CCL_Mass報133.76點,創87週新低,按週跌2.49%。九龍CCL_Mass報124.02點,創86週新低,按週跌0.71%。新界東CCL_Mass報134.74點,按週升1.27%。新界西CCL_Mass報113.47點,按週跌0.41%。

CCL(大型單位)報133.09點,按週跌0.32%。近16週計,CCL(大型單位)累跌4.19%,CCL(中小型單位)累跌8.47%,兩者差距明顯擴大。

今天(2016年4月1日)公佈的指數,根據2016年3月21日至3月27日簽訂正式買賣合約的中原集團成交計算。當中有逾七成半的交易是在2016年3月7日至3月13日簽臨時買賣合約,即反映新春長假後第四週的市況。

今天公佈的CCL是2016年第一季結算。CCL首季跌6.20%或8.43點,CCL Mass跌6.62%或9.05點,CCL(中小型單位)跌6.37%或8.59點,CCL(大型單位)跌5.37%或7.56點,港島跌7.29%或10.52點,九龍跌6.13%或8.10點,新界東跌4.91%或6.95點,新界西跌7.68%或9.44點。

樓價由2015年第四季開始,連續兩個季度下跌。CCL兩季累跌12.70%,CCL Mass跌13.59%,CCL(中小型單位)跌13.23%,CCL(大型單位)跌10.00%,港島跌16.31%,九龍跌14.04%,新界東跌10.96%,新界西跌11.10%。

Hi Kraft, yes, that's what I thought too. Was happy for them though....
Anyway, another friend that I know, has 3 residential, managed to rent out 2 but third one still looking for tenants.

He is holding on to the rent, but throwing in the whitestuff or whatever they call it.
But he is happily holding on to it as the rental for the 2 is able to cover the mortgages.....

i dun understand the property curb at all, in vancouver many years ago, they were anticipating a downturn but look what happened, property boom still intact and the naysayers are sucking thumb now.

There is a cab driver who lives in a big landed property in the Seletar Hills estate area around Kasai. It could be krafty who did well in his investments.
Maybe he drives a cab for fun and spends more time investing and posting in sbf.
