Dead Man Floating At Punggol

SINGAPORE: Police on Monday (Jun 22) said they are investigating a case of unnatural death after the body of a man was found in waters near Punggol.

A Channel NewsAsia viewer who identified himself as Sufian saud that he and a friend discovered what appeared to be a body floating near the shore of Punggol Beach while they were fishing at the area on Friday morning.

In response to media queries, police said they were alerted at about 5.30am and found the body floating in the water at Punggol Promenade.

Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) personnel retrieved the body using a life buoy, and paramedics pronounced the man dead at the scene.
