Anything for my best friend: David Beckham turns out for Manchester United in Gary Neville's testimonial match
David Beckham donned a Manchester United shirt for the first time since 2003 last night in a testimonial match for best friend Gary Neville.
Playing at Old Trafford, Beckham had flown in specially from Los Angeles for the game and appeared alongside several other former United players for the friendly against Italian team Juventus.
And there was drama for the LA Galaxy player midway through the match when he had to challenge a young fan who ran on to the pitch.
With the boy baring down on him, Beckham spread his arms as if he was going to hug the youngster but security stepped in to restrain him.
David then tried to secure the boy's release but when he tried to escape again he was ejected from the ground.
Beckham was in Manchester to support Neville, who retired from football earlier this season.

Both he and Neville were part of the so called 'Class of '92' who helped start the huge success the club has had in the past 20 years.
Among other guests to help celebrate Neville's career were Nicky Butt, Neville's brother Phil, Paul Scholes and Ryan Giggs.
Despite the furore surrounding him following revelations in the press, Giggs received a good reception from the United fans, although the loudest cheers were reserved for Beckham.
'Tonight was all about Gary. He got an amazing send-off from the fans but we all knew, even before tonight, how much they love him and how much he means to this club. He'll always be a part of this club and its history.'
Neville left the pitch to a standing ovation after 83 minutes, embracing Beckham and drawing a close to a United career that saw him play 602 matches.
Manchester United lost the game 2-1.
