As long as the word is concerned, there is little need for the bible to be so-called precise or accurate. I find this is not so important as God has a thousand ways to answer my prayer or question. So, the book is actually one of the ways.

Ironically, you claim that the bible is not so accurate can also be rather dangerous because there are still many highly religious christians that takes every statement of the bible as true. I am not referring to some ignorable typo errors or minor mistakes but lethal factual and scripture errors.

I had wrote one for Campus SuperStar some years ago and it was a prophetic poem which was CONTRARY to the hoax that we had once received in the past regarding Li Bai's poem that predicted the future of China.

This morning I received an email regarding few verses by the Chinese poet 李白 (li Bai) . Can anybody help me to understand the meaning? ... the entire poem is pretty long, so I am not sure it is possible to give an explanation of these few verses without the general comprehension of the whole text ... anyway:

北暮蒼山蘭舟四，
京無落霞綴清川。
奧年葉落緣分地，
運水微漾人卻震。

Just like what Mr. bryan-q has said, the point of this poem is the first and the last four characters. The poem works pretty like a kind of code, which predicts Olymipic games and the earthquake in Szechwan.
But according to what I've heard from news, the authorities in China, as well as the Chinese scholars, have strongly denied that this poem was written by the great poet, Li Bai. There is supposed to be someone who wants to make a disturbance again.

“‘The waters piled up, the surging waters stood firm like a wall,’ is a remarkable description of what the mathematics reveals to be the case for water pushed back by a very strong wind,” he writes.

“What I have found is that the events of the Exodus are even more dramatic than is generally believed,” Humphreys said. “The Exodus of the ancient Israelites from Egypt really is one of the greatest true stories ever told.”

A Swedish scientist who believes the Red Sea was split says while Humphreys is correct about the Aqaba crossing, there are no natural, scientific explanations for the parting miracle described in Scripture.


“The wind did not separate the water,” says Lennart Moller of the Karolinska Institute in Stockholm. “No person could be in that wind and survive. … If God has created all the Earth, it’s no problem for Him to separate the water for a while.”

Miracles or strange acts are against the law of nature. They cannot be proven with our limited understanding in science. Science is the law of nature.
