BUTTERWORTH: A daring jewellery shop robbery in Prai was caught on video.

In the 11.30am incident, a bystander recorded the scene outside the shop at Chai Leng Park, where an accomplice stood outside the shop, holding up two guns.

The man, donning a full-faced safety helmet was seen shooing away those who came near him with his firearms.

He then fired a warning shot, as three other robbers came out from the shop with trays of jewellery from the display. No one was reported hurt.

The four men then fled the scene in two motorcycles.

Central Seberang Prai district police chief ACP Rusli Md Noor said at least RM600,000 worth of jewellery were carted away.
