As for the Tiong's Condo in JB, I think it is, all the while, better off for people to just rent a home. The rental are dirt cheap, if you drive it will be even cheaper.
Maintenance issues will be handled forth by owner, major and minor issues will be the business of the developer and landlord. Last of all if you are not happy after 2 years, it's time to move on.
