STOMPer Growiser was appalled that a mess of broken wine bottles he saw at Budget Terminal DFS took so long to be cleaned up.

In an email to STOMP today (Dec 26), the STOMPer says:

“At 2:55pm on Christmas day, I was at the DFS shop of Budget Terminal when I saw a mess of broken red wine bottles on the floor. A shopper must have accidentally toppled two bottles of red wine.

“When I left the shop at 3:10pm, the mess was still there. The glass may cut some shoppers accidentally. In fact, I saw one or two shoppers stepping on the broken glass accidentally.

“No barrier was erected to warn shoppers. Since this is an airport with tourists, I expect the mess to be cleared much faster.

“While I was there in the shop and wanted to buy a bottle of Chilean wine, there were no sales girls around to recommend me which wine to buy.”

“Budget terminal = poor service?”

the stomper is uncultured peasant. he should get out more

this is impromptu installation art and the public is welcome to experience and embrace it first hand

thumbs up to DFS for such creative idea during the downturn

stomper is really a fart head

This stomper got nothing better to do and had plenty of time just to wait at the DFS to see if anyone clear up the mess....

Adios...

recession is here ...

staff retrenched ...

Not in the DFS staff job description.

They were probably waiting for the airport contract cleaners to do the job.

Initiative? In S'pore, initiative gets you into trouble. PAP gahmen dont like people with initiative.

bochapness ? indifference lah ...

at 1st, i thot its blood ...

there is a certain strange deep-seated unhappiness in a lot of singaporeans these days ... their incomes are not keeping up with rising costs, they can see the place packed with foreigners & the quality of life deteriorating, they know govt policies are unfair but can't do anything about it ... occasionally this unhappiness leads to an angry outburst which they direct at passers-by, employees or neighbours ... one time, an ah pek directed it at an MP (correct target, yes ! ) ... but the very next day, it became legislated that hitting an MP is a punishable crime ...

u will see more indifferent & disillusioned sinkees in the near future ...

Sad, so much red wine wasted.

And as for the bochap-ness..what do you expect? I don't feel any happier coming back for vacation. In fact, I do miss Perth with every passing day.

After CNY, the possibility of me returning earlier rather than later will get higher. I like the people I know and whom I grew up with, but increasingly, this is not a home. Its becoming more and more like a hotel. I pay rent for a while, and I F.O later.

u will see more indifferent & disillusioned sinkees in the near future ...

That, is as sure as the sun will rise tomorrow morning!

Budget means low service level. Travellers went in with eyes wide open. The name is "Budget Terminal", still want to complain.
