Subject: 20150310 Why are there 3.59 million CPF members when resident population only 3.87 million?
Dear CPF Board
CPF states there are 3.59 million members.
According to government statistics, there are at least 600,000 residents below 15 years old/do not work.
With a total resident population of 3.87 million, the highest possible number of CPF members should be about 3.27 million. (3.87 million minus 600,000)
There appears to be an additional 320,000 members. (3.59 million minus 3.27 million) How does CPF Board derive its membership figures?
Please clarify.
Thank you.
Regards
Phillip Ang
