The news were accurate. It's thanks to PAP that both our economy and currency grew from strength to strength. Our dollar is now worth RM$3. Many years ago, our S$1 was worth less than RM$1.

With the re-opening, our customs have closely vetted in those foreigners we allow in. A few frauds may get in once a while, but enough of them get caught, jailed and deported. That would deter hordes of fakes from coming already.

Without tourists and far less foreign workers, local businesses have far less business. Many F&B businesses in the CBD areas have closed down during 2020 and 2021. You should go walk around more often Orchard Road or Shenton Way to see the effects of WFH and covid immigration policies that kept tourists out of Singapore.

Singapore's vaccination and covid data are not meaningful.

As much as we can, our policymakers do not want to track adverse reactions from covid vaccinations, so we lost a lot of meaningful good data. We also distort our covid reporting by denying ART positive cases from PCR tests if they have no symptoms. We also selectively disclose clusters to shift blame to certain sectors, eg. fishery ports, KTVs, etc while there were bigger outbreaks in airport, educational institutions, hospital wards, public transports, etc.
