The PRC phones are good and I will still buy them. I think they don't need to make them looking like any other brands nor counterfeit anything. By itself they are cheap and good. Their software are written on their own, their hardware are designed and built on their own. They are CHEAP & GOOD - VERY GOOD.

I will not buy these Japanese nor Ang Moh branded handphones any longer.

I am awaiting for the wave to arrive when PRC build their handphone hardware, and then loaded with open source Google Andriod software. It will beat everything including Apple i-phone Sony-Erricson Nokia LG Samsung Motorola etc - beat I mean flattened.

Because PRC phone are excellent, touch screen, built-in TV, wifi, 3G, camera, MP3, MP4, FM, dual-SIM, 3-SIM, bluetooth, 3D-sensor, USB, SD-card, long lasting battery, voice activation...etc beats all brands upside down.

They have watch style, lovely casing, creative designs, tiny size, extra large, pen styled... countless potential.

They don't have to counterfeit the silly Ang Moh & Japs, they already surpass them totally. Price and quality and design wise, all beaten and flattened.

If you are very technical you stand a chance to do it. But you must be R & D engineer level.

Device drivers is another thing besides just the OS.

Every device needs different drivers. The factories will have the necessary people to do so.

it dont make anyone an expert in QA .
i also use 2 fones..
nokia and samsung.
one use symbian and other windows ce

prc fones are ok, if just use for some cheap substitute
when your original fone is sent for servicing or warranty.

anyway not more than six months before the damn thing
is ready to be chucked out of the window.

What I will tell you is I am convinced by the Chinese phones. They are excellent and very economical. They beat the branded by features and quality as well as price.

I can not see them as counterfeit because too few people will be really confused of their originalities. Just a few models will bear a logo that don't quite look like Apple Inc's apple logo. Which is really not necessary for them to sell well. A few more will add a NOKIA word on the outside, but their casing design etc, are not looking like Nokia's models at all.

It is really just a FASHION LOOK for their makers to put on these LOGO or BRAND STICKERS. I think they should not do it, because they are just really flattering these Ang Moh brands, which is absolutely unnecessary.

Every buyer knows that PRC phones beats Nokia & Apple in terms of features and prices. Apple is only good in their software, by hardware feature Apple sucks big time. E.g. their batteries can not be removed and changed easily, can not remove / add memory cards, VERY HARD to replace SIM card, etc.

That's why when Google Andriod come open source, and be adopted by PRC phones makers, Apple will be pronounced dead. And Nokia Sony-Erricson etc will be dead-dead, Koreans will be half-dead.
