Fake e-coupon
SINGAPORE : It's fairly common to make the best of restaurant coupons we receive... but could yours be fake?
Popular burger franchise McDonalds said that recently, there has been a flood of counterfeit e-coupons on the market.
According to the fast-food joint, there are many more out there, but it's not clear how many have fallen for the coupon scam so far.
The company has suggested that diners verify the authenticity of their e-coupons by checking the company's website or Facebook page.
One diner said it is just not right while another said an easy fix can be made, by taking a step back.
"I haven't seen any fake coupons so far, but if I did, I'd be very angry because it's basically cheating someone," said one diner.
"We should go back to the (old) way of having a hard copy of the coupon. No one's going to be bothered to print another copy and start distributing it," said another diner.
