A Stomp reader was shocked to find deep scratches on his car which he had parked at a shopping mall in Woodlands.
Reader Dante's Peak said he believed the vandal could have been a taxi driver whom he encountered earlier.
The reader told Stomp that he entered 888 Plaza at Woodlands at about 11am. He then parked his vehicle next a yellow Hyundai Sonata taxi in a multi-storey carpark.
The reader said: "As I opened the door, I might have accidentally made a light contact with the taxi's front passenger door."
He saw a bespectacled man in his fifties looking at him and his wife after he had parked his car. His wife had also noticed the man's stare.
He said he did not think much of it.
After the reader returned from a haircut at around 11.30am, they discovered many deep scratches on the car doors.
In the end the reader called the police and "submitted a video".
He said: "I hope the police is able to nab such irresponsible people."
