A police officer was jailed for two months on Wednesday for unlawfully accessing the computer system of the police force to look up his former girlfriend's contact details after their break-up.
The offences against Muhammad Alfian Roslan, 24, came to light when Ms Nur'ain Mohd Rahiman, also 24, reported him for harassing her on April 11.
She alleged that he had been calling and stalking her after their break-up and that he must have found out her new address and mobile phone number.
Alfian, attached to the Kampong Java Neighbourhood Police Centre (NPC), was then suspected of having misused the Frontline Officers' Computerised System (Focus) to do this.
