I am referring to the surprising number of sinkies they met along the way in the US that have permanently moved there and seem to be doing well.

Plenty of former colonels, ex-civil servants and other pro-establishment minions making good money here can hope to retire overseas like those they met. Why else would they read "five stars and a moon"?

If I were them, I would have just stayed in the US. There are so many friendly sinkies living that they met, I am sure there will be no problems harbouring them.
