A reader sent the following to TRE:

A resident of Pasir Ris-Punggol GRC wanted to meet PAP’s Janil
Puthucheary.

At first, he told the resident that because Parliament has been dissolved, he
is no longer his MP and could not meet him.

However, in subsequent statements, Dr Puthucheary appears to be very
confident of winning Pasir Ris-Punggol GRC and asked the resident to come back
to see him after the general election (GE), which will be held on 11
September.

In fact, he asked the resident to come back after 13 September to discuss
further the resident’s problem.

He even reminded the resident to bring along his NRIC and any relevant
documents.

It appears that Dr Puthucheary is overly confident of beating his opponent,
the team from SDA, so much so that he is already scheduling residents to meet
him after GE.

The SDA has no chance of beating PAP in Punggol-Pasir Ris GRC. All my grassroots kakis have did enough sampling and predict an easy win for PAP. Not even God can help Desmond Lim and SDA win.

Let's be honest here, Desmond Lim is a burden to the SDA. Having him around gives 5-10% votes straight into the hands of the PAP. Only if Hazel Poa contested Pasir Ris Punggol instead...
