He has an agenda and he is constantly looking out for himself and his familee regime.
So far all the policies created are aimed to ultimately benefit him and his familee,
and not the people.

The "fold up" language is very dramatic for a cultured person like LKY. But it does reflect the true feelings of intense frustration with crowding, costs, pressure, that drops the fertility rate.

They can solve by slaughtering sacred cows - halt immigration, allow population to drop, economy to slow, property prices to fall, income inequality to fall with top-end salaries dropping ... people start to feel like money's not everything... more hopeful things will be better for next generation....then build up from there.

Key is whether they're willing to allow the top=end elite businessmen/ property owners, who have only benefited from the crowding so far, to suffer (and leave).

We're almost at the peak of this "bubble". As with all things in life, the cycle has to go down before going up again.
