I thought after the passing of LKY this type of politics have been buried with him. Looks like the desperate PAP is trying hard to create a distraction from their incompetence of Covid handling. Indeed they fail to understand why they are losing wards after wards. Never mind, let nature takes its course. I would say this attack on Pritam is way weaker than the Aljunied TC saga… at least in that instance WP did show some administrative weakness.

Its shocking they spent so much time and resources to produce a 125 page report on this WP matter but I do not see any such report on the incompetence of the PAP in handling the covid crisis as millions are suffering and thousands with covid are left confused about what to do, clinics and hospitals overcrowded so they can let in foreigners to do business .
Why are they so desperate to bring the WP down when we are in the midst of the worst crisis in our history?

Building up democracy must be premised on integrity and honesty
Ong also raised the point that building up democracy must be premised on "integrity and honesty" as its foundation, instead of contestation.
He also asked: "What's the use of having a democratic system where there are so many political parties constantly at odds with each other? Constantly in rigorous or fierce arguments and debates but they contain lies, contain falsehoods? Repeated falsehoods?"
"Party leaders not correcting the falsehoods? Or empty promises? That I don't feel serves our people well. It's not the kind of democracy we want to have."
He added: "So therefore, I think that is why for the PAP, honesty and integrity is the only and absolute starting point in building democratic institutions in Singapore."
He said: "Be very mindful in today's politics, every lie, every repeated lie, every neglect of the line, not correcting it, it weakens the foundation (of democracy). And we must be mindful of that."
In addition, the manner in which a political leader confronts and corrects a mistake that has been made is also a mark of the standard of integrity for the leader, for the party he represents, for Parliament and for Singapore's democratic institutions, he said.

The PAP is the rightful ruler of Sinkapore. Look at how good it was in using parliament proceedings to nail the opposition.
The Committee of Pigs did such a great spin. The COP which was initially to deal with Khan evolved into a emasculation of the WP. The mandate changed with no protest with noopposition - from the elected opposition MPs or sinkees. Wasn't that skillful?
Sinkees also accepted the findings of the COP. No one - political analysts, media or academics - questioned on the hearing process or the verdict rendered by the COP even though Edwin Tong made himself a big fool with his insistence that he have his ways. Of course, the Speaker - who in our system is never objective - sided with Ah Tong. The whole process is highly questionable.
Aside, Edwin Tong shamed the fraternity of Senior Counsel. If that is the quality of our top advocates, our legal system is no better than that of India.
Now, the Speaker said he is showing generosity to the WP leaders by not sanctioning them, instead referring their verdicts to the public prosecutors to pursue. Another smart move. The WP leaders can still retain their seats even with the punishment meted out by parliament. But they will be booted out of office with a mere $2000 fine.
Given the lack of action by the WP to defeat the narrative created by Edwin Tong and the PAP, one can only conclude that the WP is not a viable party to run Sinkapore.

it shows how insecure the party is under LHL. but can't blame them, their vote share has been trending down and looks irreversible.
Almost 70 already and still no successor. Shameful and disgraceful. just appoint his wife as PM and be done with the charade.
